Girls’ Night Out Fashion Picks from Libby Story

By Mississippi's College Town
Monday, July 23rd, 2012

It’s a Girls’ Night Out week, Ladies! The summer edition of unWINE Downtown happens THIS THURSDAY, and you won’t want to miss the fun with a great selection of wine tastings, super summer finds at our participating Main Street member shops, and at least 20% off EVERYTHING!

Girls know that no evening out with great wines and great friends is complete without great fashion! We asked Letty Stricklin, the manager of LIBBY STORY on Main Street, to pull together some “Girls’ Night Out” looks showcasing the hottest styles this summer. Take a look and comment to let us know your favorites! And, be sure to check out the great collections at Libby Story on Thursday evening…

THE MAXI… A maxi dress is a great way to be dressy and casual at the same time. Throw on a fedora with it and you instantly add edge to the look. We added a Lenna Agnes neck lace to complete the whole outfit. Lenna Agnes is Libby’s handmade jewelry line made from vintage and found pieces.

SHIRTS WITH TIES… We took a fun dress and added an interesting twist by putting the button up over it. Shirts with ties are such a big trend this summer so we tied it up and added a statement necklace.

MAROON SKINNIES… Maroon is perfect for a night out in Starkville. We paired these maroon skinnies with a high low top. We are loving high low hems on anything right now… tops, dresses, you name it. We are also really into button ups with collar necklaces so we incorporated that also.

YELLOW & MINT… This is a classic girls’ night out look. A basic stretchy skirt and longer top. We love the color mint… and loved the way it looked against yellow.

COLOR BLOCKING… This is a new take on color blocking with is a huge trend right now. You can create a color block look with two solids in your closet. We loved these colors together, and these pants will take you right into fall.

CUTOFFS… This look incorporates some of our favorite summer trends… neons, cut outs and cutoffs! The cut offs are Libby’s handmade line Lenna Agnes. We paired them with wedges and a neon cut out top to make a fun night out look!
